Brudis & Associates, Inc. developed an extensive Maintenance of Traffic Alternative Analysis (MOTAA) for the bridge construction alternatives of the Forestville Road Bridge in Prince George’s County, Maryland.
The MOTAA involved detailed modeling to determine the traffic impacts to the surrounding road network, including 7 intersections within the project area.
McDonogh Road Bridge Over Gwynns Falls

The McDonogh Road Bridge is a heavily traversed route to a local private school in Baltimore County, Maryland (the existing average daily traffic is 11,675). In cooperation with the Maryland State Highway Administration Brudis & Associates, Inc. developed Maintenance of Traffic Alternative Analysis for the construction phase of the rehabilitation of this bridge.
BAI resolved the community’s need to maintain bridge access during construction by developing temporary traffic signal plans for one-lane roadway traffic control and two stage bridge construction.
MD Route 202 Bridge Over I-95/I-495

Brudis & Associates, Inc. developed an extensive Maintenance of Traffic Alternative Analysis for the bridge construction alternatives for the deck replacement of this bridge in Prince George’s County, Maryland. The MOTAA involved detailed modeling to determine traffic impacts to the surrounding road and Interstate highway.
The traffic analysis included13 intersections and 4 interchange ramps for the 4 traffic control options. BAI also determined total costs (delays, inventory and economic costs) for each construction alternative.
