Brudis & Associates, Inc. (BAI) developed complete construction plans, specifications and cost estimates for a new 22,000 square foot precast concrete elevated parking structure at the District Court/Multi-Service Center in Queen Anne’s County, Maryland. The additional parking was required to satisfy the parking requirements of the motoring public visiting the facility, which operates nine (9) state agencies and two (2) court rooms.
Structural Design. The structure was designed as a pre-fabricated, pre-cast, pre-stressed, erected in-place concrete structural system, utilizing double-tees as the main structural spanning members. The new parking deck was built over most of the existing at-grade public lot and included an entrance ramp with security/gate controls, and landscape buffer along North Liberty Street in the downtown area.
