Brudis & Associates, Inc. (BAI) provided traffic analysis services to optimize the traffic signal timing parameters for the system along Spectrum Drive and Lowe’s Lane, which surrounds the Francis Scott Key Mall. BAI implemented the alternate signal timing to improve traffic conditions during the winter holiday season. BAI conducted manual and machine traffic counts and created a Synchro Model to develop intersection and system timing along the Spectrum Drive corridor. BAI also prepared an analysis of truck traffic and made recommendations for truck restrictions to optimize traffic flow. BAI also supervised the signal construction and trained field personnel for both the phasing change to the intersection with signals and the changes to the controller.
